The idea started a long time ago, but only took shape in 2016 when both the Association of Agritourism South Africa NPO 175-957 and Agritourism Africa (Pty) Ltd was established. The concept is the creation of an Information hub highlighting tourism farm experiences across the country, thereby allowing (local and foreign) tourists to incorporate visits to farms as part of their travel plans.
